Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day
Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed and very dear

  Riva was a source of inspiration to everyone that knew her.  She was an avid bicyclist, ski enthusiast, master gardener, bibliophile, accomplished knitter, librarian, choir member, foodie, world traveler, animal lover, dog trainer and a passionate anti-fascist!   It is astounding that she found the time to immerse herself in all these activities and to do them with drive, enthusiasm and passion.
Riva's best feature was her ability to connect with people from all walks of life and interests based on a simple desire to get to know people.  She made everyone feel warm, welcome and a part of her life.
​To know her was a privilege.  
​She will be sorely missed.
